RICOH fi Series and SP Series are available on three major desktop operation systems (Windows, macOS, and Linux). Availability across these three platforms enables the use of our scanners in diverse industry verticals.
Although Windows is a common platform for business system environments, Linux compatibility is often required to meet the demands of customers with cost constraints and markets in newly-developing countries. Mac computer presence in healthcare and SOHO is also growing with recent advancements in web and cloud services. Our fi Series and SP Series scanners support these three operating systems to meet the needs of various markets.

"PaperStream IP" Driver Software for Support on Windows
"PaperStream IP" is compatible with TWAIN and ISIS applications. The driver software automatically converts any document into clear image data and optimizes scanned images for better OCR and boosted productivity levels.
"Image Scanner Driver for macOS" Driver Software for Support on macOS
"Image Scanner Driver for macOS" provides "Image Capture (macOS bundled application)" and ICA* interface support on fi Series and SP Series scanners. Offering automation functions equivalent to those on fi Series and SP Series scanners, the Image Capture application facilitates easy and efficient document scanning in a simple user interface.
*ICA (Image Capture Architecture) is an interface proposed by Apple Inc. to control scanners in macOS environments.

"Image Scanner Driver for Linux" is a library program for controlling fi Series and SP Series scanners. It provides an application interface based on SANE API. If you install the Linux driver in typical Linux systems, you can call the driver from the following applications that support SANE API.
