PFU Celebrates Outstanding Milestone in December 2024: 7.3 million ScanSnap Scanners Manufactured and Shipped Globally
Reflecting on the achievements of 2024, PFU would like to express its appreciation to all its customers and partners with the announcement that PFU has reached an outstanding milestone this year: the manufacturing and shipment of 7.3 million ScanSnap Series scanners as of December 1.
ScanSnap Series scanners are produced by PFU, a Ricoh Group company and the global market leader in image capture technology. The scanners are simple and compact, perfect for someone's home or small business. Designed for everyday use, ScanSnap can quickly digitize various documents at the push of a button, such as business cards, receipts, and photos.
ScanSnap scanners have been sold worldwide and are actively being used in a variety of business fields and other scenarios, such as accounting, education, remote work, and in personal homes. Since 2001, when the first ScanSnap was created as a USB-connected PC peripheral, ScanSnap has continued to evolve and provide more innovative and accessible digitization methods to users, adding features like Wi-Fi connectivity, cloud integration without a PC, and learning capabilities. With the rapid growth of remote work, social media, and the overall diversification of work and life styles, ScanSnap meets the growing need to digitize physical documents.
Seiji Murakami, president of PFU Limited, expressed his appreciation to customers, employees, and partners, saying, "Our team's consistent efforts to improve our products has powerfully pushed the ScanSnap Series to be one of the most popular scanners in the world. However, we could not have reached this milestone without the unwavering support of our customers and partners. We are determined to continue our journey, pushing the boundaries of image capture technology, to bring ingenuity and comfort to the world."
