New Release of the Next Generation Scanner, ScanSnap iX2500

- Next-generation document scanner offers unprecedented connectivity and speed to digitize documents at the push of a button across work and home environments

On Tuesday, June 24 Japan time, PFU Limited (President and CEO: Eiji Hirahara) (hereinafter "PFU") will begin selling the new ScanSnap iX2500 model from the ScanSnap Series of image scanners, which quickly digitize documents at the push of a button.

Recently, the popularization of hybrid work and the advancement of AI have accelerated the need for flexible working styles and digital data. Even in terms of lifestyle, digital tools promote information sharing and streamline household tasks. For this, you need an environment that enables the instant digitization of physical documents without being bound to a device.

The iX2500 redefines the traditional concept of a personal desktop scanner. This next generation scanner transcends the boundaries of time, location, and device, allowing you to use it as your personal ScanSnap anytime and anywhere. Simply connect your device to any iX2500, wherever it may be, and you can then use the ScanSnap with all your usual save locations and ease of use. This is truly an edge device for the new age.

The scanner is equipped with a next-generation "iiGA" SoC (System on a Chip), which was originally developed for business scanners, and a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen. These features enable incredibly stress-free scanning that operates like a smartphone.
The scan speed has been increased to 45 sheets (2-sided A4 color/300 dpi) per minute, and the maximum number of documents that can be loaded at one time is now a staggering 100 sheets. Even if this is your first time with a scanner, you can set it up with just your smartphone, just like a regular household appliance. You can also save documents as searchable PDFs and automatically assign titles based on document content, just like on a PC.

The design has been revamped to incorporate beauty that utilizes shadows, blending seamlessly with various environments such as home, office, and co-working environments. And, with no virgin plastics in the packaging and reduced power consumption, this product is also environmentally friendly.

Transcending time, location, and devices, ScanSnap connects the analog and digital worlds to offer a smart and comfortable lifestyle.
