ScanSnap SV600 / iX500
Fixed Malfunctions:
Our company has designed and manufactured “ScanSnap SV600” the color-image scanner, intending to conform to the standard of “Class B Information Technology Equipment” * in CISPR22 which is the international standard for radio interference, however radio waves surpassing this standard were emitted in ScanSnap SV600 in some countries. To solve this problem, our company has provided the following modification:
* “Class B Information Technology Equipment (ITE) is intended primarily for use in the domestic environment (…) A domestic environment means an environment where broadcast radio and television receivers might be used within a distance of 10 meters from the ITE concerned, in other words, a residential environment.”
Target Scanner and Outline

[Outline]
The permissible limit (limit of radiated emissions in CISPR22) and the measured value in ScanSnap SV600 are as below:
Limit of “Class B ITE” standard:
37dBμV/m (in 10m-range electric field strength, frequency ranges from 230 to 1000 MHz)
Measured value in ScanSnap SV600: 43-47dBμV/m (ditto)
In general there is little possibility of the negative effect for ITE such as a computer since ITE is designed not to be affected by about 1000 times stronger radio waves than the ones SV600 emits, following the standard of IEC61000.
