Modifications

Changes from V2.0L60 to V2.0L61

• If a network error occurred during downloading the installation data, the data needed to be downloaded from the beginning after the network environment was restored.
  Now, a modification has been made so that the data can be downloaded from the point where the error had occurred.

Installation Instructions

Use ScanSnap Online Update to install the update.

• Try manual update if the Online Update does not work.

Download ScanSnap Online Update from the download webpage and install it if not already installed.

Online Update

1. Select [Applications] in the Finder sidebar >　[ScanSnap Online Update] > [Online Update].
2. The notification dialog of the Online Update appears.
   
3. Press the [Yes] button to display the License Agreement. The Online Update starts when the [Next] button is pressed.
4. The installation starts when downloading has completed.
5. “Notices from ScanSnap” appears. Read the notices and then press the [Install Updates] button to proceed with the update.
   
6. If there are other applications to update, they will be listed and displayed when the update for the Online Update has completed.
   
7. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the update.
     Note:
     A window of MacOnlineUpdateV20L61Up automatically appears during update for the Online
     Update. If the window is not closed when all updates has been installed, open the File menu
     in the Finder and select “Eject MacOnlineUpdateV20L61Up” to close it.
   
8. Confirm if the version of the ScanSnap Online Update for Mac reads “V2.0L61”, referring to the descriptions in How to confirm if the update is successfully completed.

How to confirm if the update is successfully completed

1. Select [Applications] in the Finder sidebar > [ScanSnap Online Update] > [AOUSetting], and select [Version] tab.
2. The red-framed part shows the version.
   

Manual Update

1. Log into Mac as a user with administrator privileges.
2. Quit any other applications that are running on the computer. Do not perform scanning during update.
3. Download "MacOnlineUpdateV20L61Up.dmg" onto your hard drive.
   Make sure you have enough free disk space (at least more than twice the download file size) for installing the programs.

4. Execute the downloaded "MacOnlineUpdateV20L61Up.dmg" file to start the update installation.
5. Execute " MacOnlineUpdateV20L61Up.pkg" that is deployed from the .dmg file to start the update installation.
6. Follow the instructions from the Installation Wizard to complete the installation. Select [Open] when the message "xxxxx is an application downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?" appears during installation.
7. Confirm that the version reads “V2.0L61” by the procedure written above.

This completes the update. Refer to  Readme.
