Installation Instructions

How to update

1. Be sure you log into Windows® as a user with administrator privileges.
2. Download "WiniX500ScanSnapManualsV20L30WW.exe" onto your hard drive.
   Make sure you have enough free disk space (at least more than twice the download file size) for installing the programs.
3. Quit any applications that are running on your computer.
4. Execute the downloaded "WiniX500ScanSnapManualsV20L30WW.exe" file to start the update installation.
5. Follow the instructions from the Installation Wizard to complete the installation.

How to check whether the update is successfully applied

1. Open Basic Operation Guide.
2. Check the manual code on the up-right corner of the first page is equal to the code listed in the following table:
