Current Situation
- ・When operating the fi or SP Series scanner via USB connection on a PC running Windows 11, version 24H2, the device may not be recognized properly.
- ・In the scanner selection screen of your capturing software, the connection name of the scanner is “WIA No Friendly Name” and the scanner name is not displayed correctly.
Investigation Status
Microsoft has identified the problem and is planning to fix it.

We have noticed that the image scanner fi and SP Series(1) cannot be used on PCs running Windows 11, version 24H2.
We regret to inform you that we ask that you refrain from using or updating your OS in a Windows 11, version 24H2 environment.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Details of the Incident
- When operating the fi and SP Series via USB connection on a PC running Windows 11, version 24H2, the device may not be recognized properly(1).
