Impact of the change of authentication method in Microsoft SharePoint Online and corresponding measures for RICOH fi and SP Series products

Microsoft has announced that support for IDCRL authentication (the conventional authentication method using a username and password) for SharePoint Online will be discontinued as of May 1, 2026. Following this discontinuation, authentication via OAuth 2.0 will be required when integrating with SharePoint Online.
Accordingly, we would like to inform you below of the functions of RICOH fi and SP Series products that will be affected, as well as the schedule for supporting OAuth 2.0 authentication.
1. Affected functions
After the discontinuation of IDCRL authentication, integration with SharePoint Online will no longer be available, and errors will occur during transmission.
2. Supported products and schedule for OAuth2.0 authentication
Software that supports OAuth 2.0 authentication will be released sequentially starting in April 2026. Please note that if there are any changes to the current situation, we will provide updates on this website as appropriate.

*1. Please note that licenses for PaperStream Capture Pro 4.X.X are not compatible with PaperStream Capture Pro / Pro Premium 5.X.X.
*2. Until the required support is implemented, the SharePoint Online functionality will not be available. Please switch to an alternative method that does not use SharePoint Online, such as changing the output destination to a shared folder.
