[Wireless LAN setting] Screen (Network List)

In this screen, network names of wireless access points detected by the ScanSnap are displayed in a list.

This screen consists of the following:

Select wireless network

This option button is shown when the wireless network for the ScanSnap is configured via a USB cable or a wireless access point.

Select this option button when selecting a wireless access point from the [Network Name (SSID)] list.

[Refresh] button

Updates the [Network Name (SSID)] list.

Network Name (SSID)

Shows up to 32 network names of wireless access points detected by the ScanSnap, in order of signal strength.

When the signal strength is the same, the network names are displayed in the order that they were detected.

For iX2500, iX1600, iX1500, or iX1300, "Configured" appears next to the name when the wireless setup for the ScanSnap has already been configured.

Select a wireless access point that you want to connect the ScanSnap to.

If the wireless access point does not appear in the list, select [Other network].

ATTENTION
  • If the setting on the wireless access point is configured not to show the network name, the network will not appear in the list.

    In that case, select [Other network] and specify the wireless access point.

  • iX100 can use Wi-Fi at 2.4 GHz band only.

In the [Network Name (SSID)] list, the following icons also appear:

    *1:

    In the following cases, the icon does not appear.

    • When [None] is selected for [Encryption method].

    • When iX2500, iX1600, iX1500, or iX1300 is used

    *2:

    Not supported by iX100 if the last six digits of the serial number are "E00001" or later. It is recommended that you change to a more secure security protocol.

    *3:

    This is supported for iX2500.

Configure manually

This option button is shown when you are configuring the wireless settings for the ScanSnap while directly connecting to the ScanSnap without using a wireless access point.

Select this item to configure the wireless access point for other networks used to connect manually.

Use WPS

Select this option button to configure the wireless network automatically by using WPS if the wireless access point supports the function. In this case, the ScanSnap will be connected to the wireless access point that is waiting for connection from WPS.

ScanSnap MAC address

Shows the MAC address of the ScanSnap when you click the link.

[Next] button

It proceeds to the next window while enabling the settings that you have configured.

[Back] button

This button appears for the Wireless Network Setup Wizard.

Applies the settings and returns to the previous window.

[Discontinue] button

This button appears when using the Wireless Network Setup Wizard for iX2500, iX1600, iX1500, or iX1300. It discontinues the setup while enabling the settings that you have configured up to this point.

A confirmation window appears.

[Cancel] button

This button appears when using the Wireless Setup Tool. The settings will be canceled.

A confirmation window appears.
