Splitting a Double-Page Spread Image Created from a Book that You Scanned, into Two
For a scanned image that has been saved as a double-page spread such as a scanned image of a book or magazine including work data required for correction in book image correction mode, you can split the scanned image into two pages, one on the right page and one on the left page.
When a double-page spread image in a JPEG format is split, the image is split into two images.
ATTENTION
Images created from documents that you scanned using ScanSnap Manager cannot be split into two.
However, the following images can be split into two.
Images created from documents that you scanned using ScanSnap Home as the scanner driver
Images in a content data record migrated from ScanSnap Organizer
ATTENTION
If you correct an image in book image correction mode after editing it in point retouch mode, the corrections in point retouch mode are overridden.
Follow the procedure below to perform multiple book image corrections for one page.
In the content data record list view, select a content data record that has an image which needs to be split into two pages.
Select [Open with ScanSnap Home Viewer] in the menu that appears when you right-click the content data record to display the Viewer Window (Windows).
Click on the [Correct] tab to display the [ScanSnap Home - Book Image Viewer] window.
If work data that is required for correction is not attached to a scanned image, filling in captured fingers in the image with point retouch mode is the only operation available.
Select the page to be split in [Final image].
Click and then click or to detect the split line between the pages automatically.
If the split line between the pages is out of alignment from the gutter of the book, drag the corner points to modify the position of the split line.
Click the [Apply] button.
Click the [Selected Pages] button in the confirmation message window for a double-page spread image that you intend to split.
Click the [Finish Editing] button.
Click the [File] tab in the viewer window and select [Save] or [Save as] from the file menu.
HINT
When you select the [Finalize] checkbox in the window that appears for saving images and then save the image, work data is deleted. Deleting work data from a scanned image allows you to edit the image but does not allow you to correct the image.
An image can be corrected as long as work data is not deleted.
The image is split into two pages and is saved as a multi-page image.
