Creating a Double-Page Spread Image by Merging Two Pages
Merge two pages in an image to create a single double-page spread image in the ScanSnap Home viewer window. You can only edit a multi-page image in a PDF format or JPEG format.
To create a double-page spread image, the two pages in an image that you want to merge must meet the following conditions.
The size and orientation of both images are the same
The size of each image does not exceed the criteria below
When merged vertically: a horizontal size of 305 mm and a vertical size of 440 mm
When merged horizontally: a horizontal size of 440 mm and a vertical size of 305 mm

To delete work data, select the [Finalize] checkbox in the window for saving or overwriting the image, and then save the image.

If fingers are captured in the images, fill in the captured finger areas with Book Image Viewer before you create a double-page spread image.
If text information is embedded in the selected image in a PDF format, the created double-page spread image will not contain the text information from the original image.
When embedding text information onto a double-page spread image that you created for a second time, refer to Converting Content Data Records into Searchable Ones.
If you merge PDF file images that are compliant with PDF/A, the merged image will not be compliant with PDF/A.

Merge two pages in a multi-page image to create a single double-page spread image in [Merge Pages] of ScanSnap Home. You can only edit PDF or JPEG images, which are created by scanning multiple documents with the ScanSnap.
To create a double-page spread image, the two pages in an image that you want to merge must meet the following conditions.
The size and orientation of both images are the same
The size of each image does not exceed the criteria below
When merged vertically: a horizontal size of 305 mm and a vertical size of 440 mm
When merged horizontally: a horizontal size of 440 mm and a vertical size of 305 mm
[Merge Pages] is available when content data records are selected under the following conditions.
Selecting a folder under the [Mac] folder in the folder list view of the main window
Note that [Merge Pages] is not available when [Document type], [Tag], or [Scan history] is selected in the folder list view.
Not searching for content data records in the search bar on the toolbar
After two images are merged together, a maximum allowable size for a merged image is 440 × 602 mm.
You cannot merge images in PDF format which are protected with security settings such as a password even if they are scanned with the ScanSnap.

If another software is used to edit an image in a PDF format, it might not be possible to create a double-page spread image.
