When an EEPROM error occurs, the LED indicator and the [Power] button on the operator panel operate as follows:
The LED indicator flashes six times
The [Power] button lights up |
The issue may be caused by the following:
If the problem persists after the scanner is turned off then back on, write down the error details displayed in the Error Recovery Guide window, and contact your FUJITSU scanner dealer or an authorized FUJITSU scanner service provider.
There may be a problem with the USB cable connection.
Perform the following:
If an interface malfunction occurred, check the following points and take measures accordingly.
Is the USB cable connected properly? | No

Connect the USB cable properly. |

Is the connector (inside and outside) or cable part of the USB cable damaged? | Yes

Use a new USB cable and connect it properly. |

Are you using the USB cable that was supplied with the scanner? | No

Use the supplied USB cable. |

Are you using a USB hub? | Yes

If more than one USB hub is used, connect the scanner to the hub that is connected directly to the computer. If the problem persists, connect the scanner directly to the computer. |
