Fatal Error

When an EEPROM error occurs, the LED indicator and the [Power] button on the operator panel operate as follows:

The LED indicator flashes six times
The [Power] button lights up

The issue may be caused by the following:


If the problem persists after the scanner is turned off then back on, write down the error details displayed in the Error Recovery Guide window, and contact your FUJITSU scanner dealer or an authorized FUJITSU scanner service provider.

The command was ended abnormally.

There may be a problem with the USB cable connection.
Perform the following:

  1. Make sure that the USB cable is connected properly.
  2. Turn the scanner off then back on.

An interface malfunction occurred.

If an interface malfunction occurred, check the following points and take measures accordingly.


Is the USB cable connected properly? No

Scanning

Connect the USB cable properly.
Scanning Yes
Is the connector (inside and outside) or cable part of the USB cable damaged? Yes

Scanning

Use a new USB cable and connect it properly.
Scanning No
Are you using the USB cable that was supplied with the scanner? No

Scanning

Use the supplied USB cable.
Scanning Yes
Are you using a USB hub? Yes

Scanning

If more than one USB hub is used, connect the scanner to the hub that is connected directly to the computer. If the problem persists, connect the scanner directly to the computer.
Scanning No
Turn the scanner off then back on.
