Interface malfunction
To resolve interface problems, check the following flowchart.
For USB interface
Are you using the USB cable provided with the scanner? |

Use the USB cable provided with the scanner. |

Is a hub(s) used for the USB connection? |
Yes

Connect the scanner directly to the PC. When connecting with to a USB hub, use a powered Hub plugged directly into the PC, first stage. Do not plug a hub into a hub, second stage. |

POWER ON the scanner again. |
For SCSI interface
Is the interface cable (SCSI or USB) connected properly? Is the connector OK? |

Is the total length of the SCSI cable less than 1.5m? |

Is any other SCSI device connected to the SCSI network chain? |

Please connect the scanner to the PC directly, and confirm if the scanner operates normally. |

Are you using a SCSI card that is guaranteed to perform well? |

Please use a SCSI card that is recommended by PFU for performance quality. |

POWER ON the scanner again. |
If the normal functioning state does not recover when turning on the scanner again, please contact the dealer where you purchased the scanner or an authorized FUJITSU scanner service provider and inform the agent of the error message number displayed in the Error Recovery Guide window.
