ScanSnap Home (for mobile) Update: Automatic rotation supported in a mobile environment

With today's January 30 ScanSnap update, ScanSnap Home (for mobile) now supports automatic rotation.

Support for automatic rotation has been one of the most frequently requested features of ScanSnap for use with smartphones and tablets(1). This feature that recognizes the horizontal and vertical directions of a document and automatically corrects them is now available on smartphones and tablets.
Even when scanning in a mobile environment, regardless of the orientation of the loaded document, it can be scanned and saved in the correct orientation, just as in a PC environment.

In addition, as announced in a press release on October 31, 2023, ScanSnap Home (for mobile) will continue to be updated in the future so that users can make the most of ScanSnap with only their smartphones and tablets.
Although we are determined to provide better ScanSnap Experience, we are sorry to inform you that the release timing for the next update which includes support for the creation of searchable PDFs and automatic file naming, previously scheduled for around spring 2024, will be postponed. We expect the update will be available before spring 2025. We will provide further notification upon release.
