Newly Released PaperStream Central Admin
- Scanner Central Admin has been renamed as PaperStream Central Admin
Scanner Central Admin, the server-client and desktop software that centralizes the administrative management and monitoring of multiple scanners, has been renamed as PaperStream Central Admin. This product has been added to the prestigious PaperStream Series, a collection of capture software used for RICOH fi and SP Series image scanners. The updated PaperStream Central Admin allows centralized management, monitoring, and bulk updates of scanner settings to reduce workloads and costs for large-scale deployments.
Features
1. Main features integrated into a single software application
In conjunction with the renaming, the main functions of the existing applications, Scanner Central Admin Server and Scanner Central Admin Desktop, have been integrated into PaperStream Central Admin to enhance usability.
PaperStream Central Admin allows you to access key features more seamlessly. Previously, when considering the introduction of older models of our centralized management software, you had to check compatibility with two different operating environments and specifications. Now, confirming the operating environment before introducing the software is optional, because you can access the main features through a single software application.
2. Seamlessly centralized management with the Gate Console function
Furthermore, the newly added Gate Console function enables administrators to centrally manage and monitor up to 51,000 scanners on the server operation when managing multiple PaperStream Central Admin applications. By setting each instance of PaperStream Central Admin as either the leader or a follower, it can collaborate with other PaperStream Central Admin applications. The intuitive user interface is easy to use and allows administrators to efficiently install scanner drivers and necessary scanning software, as well as later updates, in bulk. This efficient process promotes stable operation and significantly reduces the tedious burdens of widespread maintenance.

- ・ Customers who already have Scanner Central Admin Server can automatically access the new PaperStream Central Admin by upgrading their existing Scanner Central Admin Server or by installing PaperStream Central Admin while keeping their existing Scanner Central Admin Server.
- ・ Customers who already have Scanner Central Admin Desktop can automatically access the new PaperStream Central Admin by upgrading their existing Scanner Central Admin Desktop.
