Temporary Suspension of Firmware Update for ScanSnap iX500
We have identified an issue in which the firmware update cannot be completed successfully in certain environments for the ScanSnap iX500.
As a result, the firmware update for the ScanSnap iX500 has been temporarily suspended.
The firmware update is scheduled to be re-released around the end of January 2026.
During the suspension period, ScanSnap Cloud services will remain fully available without any issues.
Information regarding the re-release will be provided on this page.
If you have already updated your ScanSnap iX500 to the latest firmware version (version 0U00), you may continue using your device without any problems.
This issue does not affect models other than the ScanSnap iX500.

A firmware update is now available for the applicable models.
If you do not apply the update, ScanSnap Cloud functionality will become unavailable after March 26, 2026. Please make sure to complete the update by the deadline.

Important Notice —Firmware Update Required for ScanSnap Cloud Users
To further enhance the security of ScanSnap Cloud, we will be implementing a system update.
As part of this process, we plan to release a firmware update for the models listed below in December 2025.
Action Required
To continue using ScanSnap Cloud, please make sure to update your scanner’s firmware no later than March 25, 2026.
If the update is not completed by the deadline, the features that require ScanSnap Cloud connection will no longer be available starting March 26, 2026.

How to Update
From December 8, 2025, connect your scanner to the network and apply the latest firmware version using the firmware update function.

If you are using the ScanSnap iX500, please select “iX100” when choosing the model, and refer to the information as applicable to the iX500.
