Inserting a Document Such a Photographs and a Clipping (While Linking with a Cloud Service)
To scan a document that can be damaged quite easily such as a photograph, or non-standard size documents such as a clipping, insert the document using the optional Carrier Sheet or Photo Carrier Sheet. The procedure to perform a scan with the Photo Carrier Sheet is described as an example below.

The optional Carrier Sheet or Photo Carrier Sheet is available for Return Scan, in which a document is inserted into the manual feeder and scanned.
- Open the Photo Carrier Sheet and put the document inside. Open the Carrier Sheet to bind the document.

Insert the Photo Carrier Sheet into the ScanSnap. Insert the Carrier Sheet into the ScanSnap.
Insert the Photo Carrier Sheet straight into the manual feeder. Make sure that the Photo Carrier Sheet is fed into the ScanSnap and is held firmly.
Insert the Carrier Sheet straight into the feeding section. Make sure that the Carrier Sheet is fed into the ScanSnap and is held firmly.
ATTENTIONWhen a document is scanned with Return Scan, it sticks out from the back of the ScanSnap.
Leave enough space at the back of the ScanSnap to allow the Photo Carrier Sheet to stick out.
Leave enough space at the back of the ScanSnap to allow the Carrier Sheet to be completely ejected. Make sure that the area where the document exits the Carrier Sheet is clear of any obstacles. Otherwise, a paper jam may occur.
