Updating ScanSnap Home
Updates for ScanSnap Home are available for free from our download server. This is called ScanSnap Online Update.
It is recommended that you keep your program updated to enhance security, operability and functions of ScanSnap Home.
To update the software, you need to have access to the Internet.
Log on as a user with Administrator privileges.

To check the updates automatically
If you enable updates to take place automatically in ScanSnap Online Update, you can check the latest updates, notification, and available software programs regularly.
Display the Main Window of ScanSnap Home.
For details, refer to To Display the Main Window.
Select [Help] in the menu → [Online Update] → [Settings] to display the [ScanSnap Online Update Settings] window.
Enable the automatic online update.
If a newer version of the program is available, update the software by following the instructions.

If you cannot display the main window of ScanSnap Home, open the [ScanSnap Online Update Settings] window directly.

Display the Main Window of ScanSnap Home.
Click the [ScanSnap Home] icon
in the application list that appears when you click Launchpad in the Dock.Select [Help] on the menu bar → [Online Update] → [Settings] to display the [ScanSnap Online Update Settings] window.
Enable the automatic online update.
If a newer version of the program is available, update the software by following the instructions.

If you cannot display the main window of ScanSnap Home, click the [Setting] icon
in the application list that appears when you click Launchpad in the Dock.
To check the updates immediately
You can manually check whether a newer version of the program is available.
Display the Main Window of ScanSnap Home.

Select [Help] in the menu → [Online Update] → [Check for updates] to check whether a newer version of the program is available.
If a newer version of the program is available, update the software by following the instructions.

If you cannot display the main window of ScanSnap Home, start up ScanSnap Online Update directly to check whether a newer version of the program is available.
