Uninstalling ScanSnap Home

This section explains how to uninstall ScanSnap Home.

ATTENTION
  • If you want to use ScanSnap Home in the same way as before even after you change your computer to another one or you perform a clean installation on your computer, export contents data records that have been managed in ScanSnap Home before uninstalling ScanSnap Home.

    Save the exported files of contents data records in a folder on a new computer or new environment and import them after installing ScanSnap Home.

  1. Turn on the computer and log on as a user with Administrator privileges.

  2. Exit all running software programs.

    To exit ScanSnap Manager, right-click the ScanSnap Manager icon Communicating in the notification area located at the far right of the task bar, and select [Exit] from the Right-Click Menu.

  3. Display the [Programs and Features] window and then display a list of currently installed software programs.

  4. Select "ScanSnap Home".

  5. Click the [Uninstall] button.

  6. Read the message and click the [Yes] button.

ScanSnap Home is uninstalled.

  1. Turn on the computer and log on as a user with Administrator privileges.

  2. Exit ScanSnap Home if it is running.

  3. From the sidebar in Finder, select [Applications] → [ScanSnap Home], and drag the [ScanSnap Home] folder into the Trash.

  4. Empty the Trash.

The [ScanSnap Home] folder is deleted and the uninstallation of ScanSnap Home is complete.

HINT
  • If the setting for opening ScanSnap Home at login is configured for a user other than the user who uninstalled ScanSnap Home, delete [ScanSnap Home] from the [Open at Login] list in the [Login Items] window.

    1. Log in using a user who has set ScanSnap Home as an item to open at login.

    2. Select [System Settings] from the Apple (Apple Mark) menu to display the system settings window.

    3. Select [General] from the sidebar in the system settings window to display the [General] window.

    4. Select [Login Items] from the [General] list to display the [Login Items] window.

    5. From the [Open at Login] list, select [ScanSnap Home].

    6. Click the [Delete] button under the [Open at Login] list.

    7. Click Close at the top of the window to close the system settings window.
