Q1 Can I specify a LibRoot folder as a network folder?

  • Yes you can. Use of LibRoot folders is limited to Windows® servers in cases where a LibRoot folder is specified as a network folder.
  • A Windows® server is a server where one of the following operating systems has been installed and operating as a file server.
      - Windows Server® 2016
      - Windows Server® 2012
      - Windows Server® 2008
      - Windows Server® 2003
      - Windows® 2000 Server
      - Windows® 8 Pro
      - Windows® 8 Enterprise
      - Windows® 7 Professional
      - Windows® 7 Enterprise
      - Windows® 7 Ultimate
      - Windows Vista® Ultimate
      - Windows Vista® Enterprise
      - Windows Vista® Business
      - Windows® XP Professional
      - Windows® 2000 Professional
  • Specifying a LibRoot folder for a Rack2-Filer that has been installed on a computer as a network shared folder and then specifying a LibRoot folder for another computer.
  • Rack2-Filer Lite does not support LibRoot folders as network folders.
Q2 The following are error messages that may appear when using the "Scan to Google Docs(TM)" function.

Possible Causes & Solutions

  1. The network connection times out.

    -> Make sure you can access Google Docs™ with the browser.


  2. The storage capacity of Google Docs™ is at the maximum limit.

    -> Launch the browser, log in Google Docs™ and make sure sufficient space is available to save the scanned document.


  3. The size of the document exceeds the maximum size supported by Google Docs™.

    -> Make sure the document size does not surpass the maximum size allowed by Google Docs™.


(Note)
Even if the error message appears, ScanSnap may still have successfully saved the document to Google Docs™. Launch the browser, log in Google Docs™ and check for the scanned document.
