ScanSnap S1100

More and more customers around the world are choosing ScanSnap series personal scanners because they deliver speedy, one-push digitization of documents to PDF files. The S1100 answers the call for "Easy scanning, anywhere, anytime" with a compact size which makes it very easy to carry around and use. Despite being a simplex sheet-feed document scanner, the S1100 features a Continuous Document Feeding function which allows non-stop, smooth scanning of two sided, multi-page documents.*3 PFU also gave its latest scanner a function that links scanned image data to cloud services, propelling ScanSnap to new areas of application.

Armed with the cloud service linking feature, the S1100 mobile scanner will answer your digitizing needs no matter where you use it and your scanned image data. Bring versatile scanning and improved work efficiency to every document digitizing scene, and advance your lifestyle with the ScanSnap S1100.

Product Features

1. An ultra-portable ScanSnap you can use anywhere
The ScanSnap series combines "Easy" and "Speedy" scanning with an easy to carry "Compact" form factor, giving you a document scanner that you can use anywhere.

  1. The smallest and lightest ScanSnap to date
The features of an A4 document scanner have been condensed into the smallest form factor possible for the S1100 (Less than 1/4 the size and approximately 1/4 weight of the ScanSnap S1300). Add to that support for bus-powered operation through a single USB cable, and you have a handy digitizing tool that you can use virtually anywhere.
  2. Simple and speedy scanning with the Continuous Document Feeding (CDF) function
The S1100 delivers a snappy 7.5 seconds/page (approximately 8ppm) scanning for A4 size documents and uses the same automated functions found in the other ScanSnap models to make sorting pages and changing scan settings every time you make a scan unnecessary.*4 Pushing the Scan button to starts the nearly effortless scanning process, and with the Continuous Document Feeding function multiple page documents can be speedily digitized like a full ADF scanner.
  3. Supports plastic card scanning and other handy scanning features
You can use the S1100 to scan plastic card types like membership IDs in addition to standard office documents.*5 The S1100 also offers handy ScanSnap functions like Intelligent Indexing which converts highlighted words in a document into PDF keywords and Intelligent Cropping (Windows only) which creates digital clippings from parts of an article "cut out" by a highlighter.

2. Seamless linking to cloud services
The S1100 comes armed with a cloud service linking function which allows you to save your scanned image data through the Web "Anywhere, Anytime, with Ease". This brings your digitizing possibilities to new areas of use. The S1100 currently supports linking to Web services Evernote, Google Docs and Salesforce CRM.*6

Now you can easily save your digitized documents to Evernote or Google Docs from anywhere through the easy-to-navigate ScanSnap Quick Menu.

Business card data that you organize with ScanSnap bundled business card management software CardMinder (Cardiris for Mac) can be saved to Salesforce CRM. This linking feature to Salesforce CRM will extend to office documents along with linking to other Web services in the months ahead.
