The new scanner is not only the world’s lightest and fastest scanner^[*1], but it is also equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity and built-in battery to provide users with ultimate portable scanning experience – whether at home, in the office or on the road. The light, ultra-portable and wireless document scanner enables users to scan photos^[*2], documents, or business cards directly to any device platform or cloud services via Wi-Fi without worrying about the Wi-Fi network environment and tangled by the cables. In addition, the Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100 succeeds the same image processing engine as the high end model, GI processor, to ensure smooth transferring of clear scanned image in one touch to a PC or Mac computer and mobile devices.

The World’s Lightest and Fastest Scanner

Even with the built-in battery and Wi-Fi connectivity, the ScanSnap iX100 is merely 400g in weight, and allows users to scan up to 260 sheets (A4, color, simplex, 300dpi)^[*3] when fully-charged. Documents can be scanned anywhere even in locations where AC power is not available. The scanning speed has also upgraded to 5.2 seconds per page (A4, color, 200/300dpi) which is 30% faster than the existing model.　Using the continuous scanning function, multiple documents can be converted into PDF format for viewing and sharing in a snappy speed.

Automatically Switch Wi-Fi Connectivity According to the Network Environment

The ScanSnap iX100 is equipped with built-in Wi-Fi which is able to automatically detect and switch to the network environment at home, in the office or on the go. Users only need to set up initially and iX100 can be scanned wirelessly directly to any platform even without Wi-Fi network in the environment.

Advanced Features to Make Scanning Faster and Easier

Besides the existing powerful, advanced, easy-to-use features of its predecessor, the additional intuitive features aim to maximize efficiency and minimize time for scanning. New and innovative features of the ScanSnap iX100 include:

• Dual Scan: This new feature allows users to scan two small size documents, such as receipt and business card, at the same time. The ScanSnap iX100 is able to automatically recognize the paper size, so simply insert documents continuously to the paper feeding entry to greatly reduce your scanning time and lead to increased efficiency.
• Automatically stitch a two page spread: Documents up to A3 size can be scanned without any extra effort. Just fold the large documents in half and the ScanSnap iX100 will automatically stitch the diagram or chart that is spread across two pages after scanning.

ScanSnap S1100i is the entry model upgraded from the previous model, it features the advanced features of ScanSnap iX100, including dual scan, and selling at a more attractive price than the previous model.
