PaperStream Series Update Nearly Doubles (1) Document Processing Speed
Introducing enhanced AI-OCR workflows with improved usability.
PFU Limited, a Ricoh company and leader in document scanning solutions, today announced enhancements to its PaperStream series, introducing performance and usability improvements that streamline document digitization workflows.
Performance Enhancements
The update nearly doubles document recognition speed through a streamlined AI data flow and more efficient processing (1). This optimization substantially reduces recognition time for both everyday and high-volume workloads. Even in workflows that process large volumes of documents, such as receipts and purchase orders, the waiting time before reviewing extracted data is further reduced, enabling faster and smoother operations.
Support for longer unstructured documents has also been extended from 43 cm to 84 cm, allowing AI-OCR to process a wider variety of documents, including long receipts and forms containing multiple consecutive statements. This enables more flexible use of AI-OCR across a wider variety of business applications while reducing the need for manual processing.
[Applies to: PaperStream AI]
Improved User Experience
The update also introduces manual trimming on the confirmation screen, allowing users to select and extract the required area. Margins and other unnecessary areas can be removed directly on screen, enabling users to output only the content they need without rescanning the original document or editing it in other software. This also enables more precise OCR zone selection while reducing the time and effort required for image adjustment and saving.
[Applies to: PaperStream Capture Pro/PaperStream Capture Pro Premium]
With these enhancements, PaperStream continues to simplify document digitization by combining faster processing with an improved user experience, helping organizations work more efficiently with less manual effort.
