
To Edit an Image
You can edit images with an application launched from ScanSnap Home
You can edit only the images of the content data records that appear when you click on the toolbar in the main window.
Windows
The images in content data records that are managed in ScanSnap Home can be edited in the viewer window.
The images in a PDF format or JPEG format can be edited in the viewer window. However, for the images in a PDF format, only the images of documents scanned with the ScanSnap can be edited.
You can display the viewer window as follows:
- When displaying the viewer window from the Main Window

In the Content Data Record List View, select [Open with ScanSnap Home Viewer] in the menu that appears when you right-click a content data record which includes an image you want to edit.
- When displaying the viewer window from the [Scan to Folder] window, the [Scan to Email] window, or the [Scan to Print] window

Click
in the window that appears when an image is linked with an application ([Scan to Folder], [Scan to Email], or [Scan to Print]).
The [Scan to Folder] window, the [Scan to Email] window, or the [Scan to Print] window are displayed in the following cases:
Selecting [Scan to Folder], [Scan to Email], or [Scan to Print] in the Quick Menu
Scanning a document by using a profile in which [Scan to Folder], [Scan to Email], or [Scan to Print] is set for [Send to] in [Application] in the [Edit profiles] Window.
If you display the viewer window by using one of the methods above, some functions become unavailable.
The operations that are available are as follows:
To display the ScanSnap Home viewer, select [Open with ScanSnap Home Viewer] in the menu that appears when you right-click the content data record which includes an image you want to edit in the Content Data Record List View in the Main Window.
The ScanSnap Home viewer window can be also displayed by double-clicking the content data record in the content data record list view.
To display the viewer window by double-clicking a content data record, select [ScanSnap Home Viewer] for [View images] in the [General] tab of the preferences window.
To display the preferences window, select [Settings] → [Preferences] from the menu on the main window.
macOS
If the file format is supported by Preview, you can edit the scanned images with Preview.
If you associate the file format of the images with Preview, you can open a content data record with Preview by double-clicking it in the Content Data Record List View of the Main Window.
In [Merge Pages] in ScanSnap Home, you can only edit an image which is created by scanning documents with the ScanSnap.
