Creating/Transferring/Renaming/Deleting a Folder
Create, transfer, rename, or delete a folder managed with ScanSnap Home.
Windows
- Display the Scan Window of ScanSnap Home on the computer.

Select [Open ScanSnap Home] in the menu that appears when you click
at the top of the scan window to display the Main Window.
- Create, transfer, rename, or delete a folder.
- To create a new folder
-
Select a folder under the [PC] folder in the folder list view.
Select [Create new folder] in the menu that appears when you right-click the folder.
Rename the new folder as needed.
The new folder is created under the folder which you selected in the folder list view.
- To transfer a folder

Select a folder to be transferred in the folder list view.
Drag and drop the selected folder to the destination folder.
The selected folder is transferred to the folder which you dragged and dropped it to.
- To rename a folder

Select the folder you want to rename in the folder list view.
Click the folder name.
Enter a new folder name and then press the [Enter] key on the keyboard.
The folder name is changed.
- To delete a folder

ATTENTION
If you delete a folder located in a network folder, the folder is not moved to [Recycle Bin] but is deleted completely.
Select a folder to be deleted in the folder list view.
Select [Move to Recycle Bin] or [Delete] in the menu that appears when you right-click the folder that you selected.
If the selected folder is assigned as a folder to be managed in ScanSnap Home, select [Unassign the folder].
If a confirmation message is displayed, read it then click the [Yes] button.
The selected folder is deleted from the folder list view, and the content data records in the folder are moved to [Recycle Bin].
TIP-
To restore or completely delete content data records that were moved to [Recycle Bin], follow the procedure below.
Select the [Recycle Bin] folder in the folder list view.
In the content data record list view, select the content data record to be restored or deleted.
Select [Restore data] or [Delete] in the menu that appears when you right-click the content data record.
macOS
- Display the Scan Window of ScanSnap Home on the computer.

Select [Open ScanSnap Home] in the menu that appears when you click
at the top of the scan window to display the Main Window.
- Create, transfer, rename, or delete a folder.
- To create a new folder

Select a folder under the [Mac] folder in the folder list view.
Select [Create new folder] in the menu that appears when you click the folder while holding down the [control] key on the keyboard.
Rename the new folder as needed.
The new folder is created under the folder which you selected in the folder list view.
- To transfer a folder

Select a folder to be transferred in the folder list view.
Drag and drop the selected folder to the destination folder.
The selected folder is transferred to the folder which you dragged and dropped it to.
- To rename a folder

Select the folder you want to rename in the folder list view.
Click the folder name.
Enter a new folder name and then press the [Return] key on the keyboard.
The folder name is changed.
- To delete a folder

ATTENTION
If you delete a folder located in a network folder, the folder is not moved to [Trash] but is deleted completely.
Select a folder to be deleted in the folder list view.
Click the folder while pressing the [control] key, and select [Delete] from the menu that appears.
If the selected folder is assigned as a folder to be managed in ScanSnap Home, select [Unassign the folder].
Read the confirmation message and click the [Delete] button.
The selected folder is deleted from the folder list view, and the content data records in the folder are moved to [Trash].
TIP-
To restore or completely delete content data records that were moved to [Trash], follow the procedure below.
Select the [Trash] folder in the folder list view.
In the content data record list view, select the content data record to be restored or deleted.
Click the content data record while pressing the [control] key, and select [Restore data] or [Delete] from the menu that appears.
