You Cannot Sign In with a ScanSnap Account

If you cannot sign in with a ScanSnap account even when you are in a region where ScanSnap accounts are available, check the following:

Is the region where ScanSnap accounts are not available selected for the region setting on the computer that you are using?

Even when you are in a region where ScanSnap accounts are available, if the region where ScanSnap accounts are not available is selected for the region setting on your computer, you cannot sign in with a ScanSnap account.

Change the region setting on your computer in the following procedure, and then sign in with a ScanSnap account.

  1. Exit ScanSnap Home.

  2. Change the region setting on the computer to the region that you selected when registering a ScanSnap account.

  3. Sign in with a ScanSnap account.

    1. Display the main window of ScanSnap Home.

      For details, refer to To Display the Main Window.

    2. Select [Settings] in the menu [Preferences] to display the preferences window.

    3. Select the [Account] tab and sign in by entering a ScanSnap account e-mail address and password in the fields under [ScanSnap account].

  1. Exit ScanSnap Home.

  2. Change the region setting on the computer to the region that you selected when registering a ScanSnap account.

    1. Select [System Settings] from the Apple (Apple Mark) menu to display the system settings window.

    2. Select [Language & Region] from the list of [General] to display the [Language & Region] window.

    3. Change the setting for [Region] to the region that you selected when registering a ScanSnap account.

    4. Click Close at the top of the window to close the system settings window, and then restart the computer.

  3. Sign in with a ScanSnap account.

    1. Display the main window of ScanSnap Home.

      Click the [ScanSnap Home] icon ScanSnap Home Icon in the application list that appears when you click Launchpad in the Dock.

    2. Select [ScanSnap Home] on the menu bar [Preferences] to display the preferences window.

    3. Select the [Account] tab and sign in by entering a ScanSnap account e-mail address and password in the fields under [ScanSnap account].
