Checking the Sync Status of a File or Folder
- A file that has been synced
appears for a file that has been synced by means of uploading to a cloud service or downloading from a cloud service.
If you tap this, the [Preview] screen appears in which you can view the file.
- A file that has not been downloaded
appears for a file that exists on a cloud service but has not been downloaded.
If you tap this, the [Preview] screen appears and downloading a file starts. When the file is downloaded, the file is opened.
ATTENTIONIf the size of a file to be downloaded is large, it may not be downloaded successfully. When this is the case, edit a file to reduce the file size.
- A file that exists on the mobile device only
Neither nor appears if the file exists only on your mobile device and has not been uploaded to a cloud service.

HINTYou can select whether or not a received file is uploaded to a cloud service automatically.

- A file that is being uploaded
The indicator which shows the uploading status appears for a file that is being uploaded.
After a file is uploaded and the file is synced, appears.
HINTIf an Internet connection is not established but there is a file to be uploaded, [Waiting for uploading] is shown.
Once an Internet connection is established, the file is uploaded to a cloud service.
- A folder
Tapping a folder shows files and folders in the folder.
HINTBy using the ScanSnap Sync function, a folder can be displayed in the folder hierarchy that ScanSnap Organizer manages.
A folder cannot be created or moved from ScanSnap Connect Application. To create or move a folder, use ScanSnap Organizer.
- Changing a sort order
Tapping shows a menu. By selecting an item in the menu, you can change the sort order of files and folders.
You can change the sort order in the menu as follows:
- Sort by date
Files and folders are sorted by date in descending order.
HINTWhen [Sort by date] is selected, folders are shown in the bottom part of the list.
- Sort by name
Files and folders are sorted by name in ascending order.
To sync with a cloud service, an Internet connection must be established.
If logging into a cloud service fails, the authentication is performed again. Once login is complete, a cloud service is synced.
If you tap the following file or folder without an Internet connection, an error occurs and the file or the folder is not shown.
Establish the Internet connection and tap the file or the folder again.
A file that is in a synchronized state but has not been downloaded
A folder of which content information is not saved on the mobile device
A file that is scanned with the following settings is not uploaded to a cloud service:
[Save to photo album] or [Save to the Files app] is set to on (in the [File format] screen from [Profile])
[Automatic delete] is set to on in System Preferences of ScanSnap Connect Application
To upload a file to a cloud service, set [Automatic delete] to off.
If you want to delete the file from ScanSnap Connect Application, check that the file has been uploaded to the cloud service, and then tap the [Delete from this device] button in the message that is shown before deleting a file.
If a file name contains a graphic symbol or other machine dependent characters, it may not be shown properly on another device depending on the cloud service.
A file other than a PDF file or a file other than a JPEG file including JPEG files that are saved virtually as a single file cannot be downloaded from a cloud service.
If a cloud service does not have enough disk space, uploading a file stops. On the next startup of ScanSnap Connect Application, uploading the file is performed again.
The following file can be uploaded:
A file that is scanned and received by using ScanSnap Connect Application
A file that is received by using Scan to Mobile
You can refresh the folder information by swiping down on the folder screen with the ScanSnap Sync set to on.
