Paper Jam
When a paper jam occurs, one of the following error codes is displayed on the LCD of the scanner's operator panel.

Remove the document left inside the scanner following the procedure below.
- Remove the document from the stacker.
- Press up the ADF release tab to open the ADF.
- Remove the jammed document.
- Holding with both hands, press the ADF down slowly to close it.

CAUTION: |
- When closing the ADF, make sure that nothing is left inside the ADF.
- Be careful not to have your fingers caught when the ADF closes.

If paper jams occur frequently, check the following points and take necessary actions.
Are the paper quality requirements satisfied? |
No

Confirm with Paper Quality. |
Yes |
Did you fan the document before loading it on the hopper? |
No

Fan the document referring to How to Fan Documents. |
Yes |
Are there any foreign matters on the paper path? |
Yes

|
Remove all the foreign matters from the paper path. |
No |
Have you adjusted the paper separation force on the operator panel? |
No

|
Set the paper separation force to a higher level. |
Yes |
Contact your FUJITSU scanner dealer or an authorized FUJITSU scanner service provider. |
If turning on the scanner again does not solve the problem, note down the message displayed in the Error Recovery Guide window and contact your FUJITSU scanner dealer or an authorized FUJITSU scanner service provider.
