Documents Become Dirty.

Causes and solutions for documents becoming dirty when using the ScanSnap are explained in this section.
Cause

The issue may be caused by the following:

  • Documents written in lead pencil were scanned.

  • The rollers or glass inside the ScanSnap are dirty.

Solution

  • When documents written in lead pencil were scanned

    • Clean the rollers after scanning documents written in lead pencil.

    • Use the Carrier Sheet to scan documents written in lead pencil. Doing this prevents documents from becoming dirty.

  • When the rollers or glass inside the ScanSnap are dirty

    Clean the inside of the ScanSnap.
