[Display and set the ScanSnap information] Screen
You can display the wireless LAN information and wireless network configuration for the ScanSnap.
The displayed contents vary depending on the wireless mode that has been selected when [Display and set the ScanSnap information] is selected.
This screen only exists in Wireless Setup Tool.
This window consists of the following:
Access Point Connect Mode
- [Refresh] button
Updates the information.
Diagnoses the communication status between the ScanSnap and wireless access point.
If the ScanSnap and the computer are not connected via a USB cable, this button is unavailable.
HINTThe wireless settings for each wireless access point can be diagnosed from the [Destination setting] screen.
- Wireless LAN information
The following information is displayed:
- Wireless mode
This is for iX1600, iX1500, iX1300, or iX100.
Displays the wireless mode that is currently selected.
- Status
Displays the connection status between the ScanSnap and the mobile device.
- Signal strength
Displays the strength of the signal that the ScanSnap is receiving from the wireless access point.

- Network Name (SSID)
Displays the network name of the wireless access point.
- Security protocol
Displays the security protocol set for the wireless access point.
- Encryption method
Displays the encryption method set for the wireless access point.
- Authentication Method
Displays the authentication method set for the wireless access point when IEEE 802.1X authentication is used.
- Communication mode
This is for iX500.
Displays the communication mode for the ScanSnap and the mobile device.
- Operation mode
Displays the operation mode for the ScanSnap and the mobile device.
For iX1600, iX1500, or iX1300, the frequency for the connection is also displayed.
- Communication channel
Displays the communication channel for the ScanSnap and the mobile device.
- Network information
The following information is displayed:
- Scanner name
Displays the name of your ScanSnap.
- Configuration method
Displays how the ScanSnap's IP address is set.
- IP address
Displays the ScanSnap's IP address.
- Subnet mask
Displays the subnet mask of the network that the ScanSnap is connected to.
- Default gateway
Displays the default gateway on the network that the ScanSnap is connected to.
- MAC address
Displays the ScanSnap's MAC address.
- [ScanSnap setting] button
The [ScanSnap setting] screen is displayed.
Set a name and other information for the ScanSnap.
For iX500 or iX100, you can also set a password for connecting to the ScanSnap.
- [OK] button
Closes the window.
Direct Connect Mode (iX1300/iX100)
- [Refresh] button
Updates the information.
- Wireless LAN information
The following information is displayed:
- Wireless mode
Displays the wireless mode that is currently selected.
- Network Name (SSID)
Displays the network name set for the Direct Connect mode.
- Network Name (SSID) Notification
Displays the notification setting of the network name set for the Direct Connect mode.
- Security protocol
Displays the security protocol set for the Direct Connect mode.
- Encryption method
Displays the encryption method set for the Direct Connect mode.
- Communication channel
Displays the communication channel set for the Direct Connect mode.
- Network information
The following information is displayed:
- scanner name
Displays the name of your ScanSnap.
- MAC address
Displays the ScanSnap's MAC address.
- IP address
Displays the ScanSnap's IP address.
- Subnet mask
Displays the subnet mask of the network that the ScanSnap is connected to.
- DHCP Server
Displays the setting for the DHCP server.
- [ScanSnap setting] button
The [ScanSnap setting] screen is displayed.
Set a name and other information for the ScanSnap.
For iX100, you can also set a password for connecting to the ScanSnap.
- [OK] button
Closes the window.
