Removing the Newspaper Background Color
When the background of an image created from a newspaper that you scanned is dark, you can remove the background color to make text clearly visible.
If you scan the newspaper with [B & W] selected for [Color mode] in the scan settings, [Remove Newspaper Background Color] cannot be applied for the scanned image.
If the image created from the newspaper that you scanned contains diagrams or photographs, the color may become brighter or pale colors may disappear by removing the background color from the scanned image.
The background in an image created from the following newspaper may not be removed.
Newspaper with shadow of fold
Print-through newspaper
Newspaper with a deep colored background
Newspaper scanned with the [Thicken color images] checkbox is selected in the [Feed option] window

If fingers are captured in the images created from the newspaper that you scanned, fill in the captured finger areas before you remove the newspaper background color.
To remove the background color of scanned images, delete the work data attached to the scanned images.
The image quality may deteriorate if the background color is removed repeatedly for the same page of scanned images.
