Connecting the ScanSnap to a Wireless Access Point

Press in the home screen on the touch panel of the ScanSnap to display the [Settings] screen.

Press [Wireless settings] to display the [Wireless settings] screen.

Press [Connection settings] to display the [Connection settings] screen.

Select [Access point connection].

Press to return to the [Wireless settings] screen.

Press [Wireless access point/router setting] to display the [Wireless access point/router setting] screen.

Press [Select network] to display the [Select network] screen.

Connect the ScanSnap to a wireless access point.

By selecting a wireless access point from the list

1. Select [Select an access point].

2. Press the [Next] button to display the [Select network] screen.

3. From the list of displayed wireless access points, select a wireless access point that you want to connect to.

4. Press the [Next] button to display the [Enter connection information] screen.

5. Enter the information of the wireless access point that you want to connect to and press the [Connect] button.

   Enter the information of the wireless access point that you want to connect to and press the [Next] button.

   The items which are displayed in the screen differ depending on the security protocol of the wireless access point.

   To perform the authentication with a security key

   Press the input field for [Security key] and enter the user name, and then press [OK].

   To perform the authentication with a client certificate

   Press [Client certificate] and select the certificate to be used.

   To perform the authentication with a user ID and a password

   Press the input field and enter a value for [User ID] and [Password] respectively, and then press [OK].

   To perform the authentication with an external ID

   Press the input field for [External ID], enter the external ID, and press [OK].

    

6. Press the [Complete] button in the [Successfully connected.] screen.

   Press the [Complete] button in the [Check Connection Results] screen.

7. Press to display the home screen.

   Press to display the home screen.

By entering the information of a wireless access point

1. From the list of wireless access points displayed, press [Add network] at the bottom to display the [Enter connection information] screen.

2. Select [Configure manually].

3. Press the [Next] button to display the [Enter connection information] screen.

4. Enter the information of the wireless access point that you want to connect to and press the [Connect] button.

   Enter the information of the wireless access point that you want to connect to and press the [Next] button.

   The items which are displayed in the screen differ depending on the security protocol of the wireless access point.

5. Press the [Complete] button in the [Successfully connected.] screen.

   Press the [Complete] button in the [Check Connection Results] screen.

6. Press to display the home screen.

   Press to display the home screen.

By using the WPS button of a wireless access point

1. Press the [Use WPS] button to display the [Use WPS] screen.

2. Select [WPS (button)] and press the [Next] button to display the [WPS (button)] screen.

3. Select [WPS (button)].

4. Press the [Next] button.

5. Press the button for the WPS function on the wireless access point.

   The wireless access point is ready to be connected from the ScanSnap.

6. Go back to the touch panel of the ScanSnap, and press the [Next] button in the [WPS (button)] screen within two minutes.

7. Press the [Complete] button in the [Successfully connected.] screen.

   Press the [Complete] button in the [Check Connection Results] screen.

8. Press to display the home screen.

   Press to display the home screen.

By using the PIN code of the WPS function of a wireless access point

1. Press the [Use WPS] button to display the [Use WPS] screen.

2. Select [WPS (PIN)].

3. Select [WPS (PIN)] and press the [Next] button to display the [WPS (PIN)] screen.

   Press the [Next] button to display the [WPS (PIN)] screen.

   Take a note of the PIN that is displayed in the screen in case you forget it.

4. Open the window for setting the WPS for the wireless access point in a computer, and enter the PIN for the ScanSnap.

   The wireless access point is ready to be connected from the ScanSnap.

5. Go back to the touch panel of the ScanSnap, and press the [Next] button in the [WPS (PIN)] screen within two minutes.

6. Press the [Complete] button in the [Successfully connected.] screen.

   Press the [Complete] button in the [Check Connection Results] screen.

7. Press to display the home screen.

   Press to display the home screen.

Select the display language of the touch panel and then check the information on the warranty by following the instructions on the touch panel.

When the [Enable the wireless settings] screen appears, select the [Enable a wireless network] checkbox.

Press the [Next] button to display a screen that guides you through the installation of ScanSnap Home.

Press the [Next] button to display the [Detect the scanner with ScanSnap Home.] screen.

Press [Configure the Wi-Fi settings with the ScanSnap] and follow the instructions on the screen that appears on the touch panel.

When the [Successfully connected.] screen appears, press the [Complete] button.

Select the display language of the touch panel and the startup mode, and then display the [Device to be used] screen, by following the instructions on the touch panel.

Select [Computer] or [Both] and press the [Next] button to display the [USB Connection] screen.

Without connecting the scanner and a computer with a USB cable, press the [Next] button to display the [Connection method] screen.

Select [Wi-Fi].

Press the [Next] button to display the [Access point connection] screen.

Press the [Next] button to display the [Connection information configuration method] screen.

Connect the ScanSnap to a wireless access point.
