[File name option] Window

The [File name option] window appears when you click the [Option] button in the [File name] tab in the [Detailed settings] window that you can display from the [Add new profile] window or the [Edit profiles] window.

When the document type is [Business Cards] or [Receipts], you can specify items that you want to extract from a document to be used as a file name and also specify a file name format.

Extracting items for the file name

The items displayed in [Selected] are extracted for the file name.

You can drag and drop the items in the [Selected] list to change the order of the items which are specified as a file name.

ATTENTION
  • If the selected items to be extracted contain the following symbols in their values, those symbols are replaced with "_" when they are extracted for the file name of an image.

    \/:?*"<>|

  • If the selected items to be extracted contain the following symbols in their values, those symbols are deleted when they are extracted for the file name of an image.

    \/:?*"<>|

HINT
  • If the document does not contain the items selected as [Extracting items for the file name] or the extraction failed, the names of those items are displayed with parentheses "( )".

    Example: (Company)_(Name), (Date on a receipt)_(Vendor)

  • When scanning receipts/invoices with the ScanSnap iX1600 Receipt Edition, among the items selected for [Extracting items for the file name], only those used for the detected document type will be extracted for the file name.

If no items selected for [Extracting items for the file name] are used for the detected document type, the scanned date will be extracted for the file name.

Format customize

You can change the file name format. The items cannot be changed.

You can use a symbol that is displayed in [Available delimiters] as a delimiter for the file name with multiple extracted items.

Note that a delimiter cannot be used consecutively or specified to be at the beginning or the end of the file name.
