[PDF file option] Window (When Using ScanSnap Cloud)
The [PDF file option] window appears when you click the [Option] button for [Scan settings] in the [Add new profile] window or the [Edit profiles] window.
When you save scanned images in a PDF format (*.pdf), you can set whether or not images are converted into searchable PDF files.
This section explains the setting items for a profile that is linked with a cloud service or for a profile that is used to send an e-mail by using ScanSnap Cloud. A setting item which is not supported by a cloud service that you established a link with is not displayed or cannot be selected.

You cannot scan documents with the ScanSnap while the [PDF file option] window is displayed.

- [Convert to Searchable PDF] checkbox
Appears when the document type is [Documents], [Business Cards], [Receipts] or when a document type is not detected.
If this checkbox is selected, text on the image is recognized in the language that is specified in the [PDF file option] window, and a searchable PDF file is created.
The setting has an affect on the [Convert to Searchable PDF] checkbox in the [File format] tab of the [Detailed settings] window.

Appears when the document type is either [Documents], [Business Cards], [Receipts], or when a document type is not detected. In addition, the item name differs depending on the document type setting.
Specify a language of text to be recognized.
The setting has an affect on the language in the [File format] tab of the [Detailed settings] window.
