Enabling Two-Factor Authentication for a ScanSnap Account (ScanSnap Home 2.9 or Earlier)
Two-factor authentication is a function that authenticates a user using an authentication code in addition to password authentication. Two-factor authentication prevents unauthorized use of the ScanSnap account and improves the security of the account.
An authentication code is available after you install the authentication application on your mobile device and configure settings for two-factor authentication.
On the mobile device that is used for two-factor authentication, you need to install the authentication application in advance. Microsoft Authenticator is used as the authentication application.
Two-factor authentication is supported by ScanSnap Home 2.8 or later. If you are using ScanSnap Home 2.7 or earlier, you will not be able to sign in with the ScanSnap account after enabling two-factor authentication. In that case, update ScanSnap Home to the latest and sign in to ScanSnap Home.
If two-factor authentication for a ScanSnap account is available, authentication with an authentication code will be required in addition to password authentication when you sign in with a ScanSnap account.
