OCR Pack (Windows)
The OCR Pack is a set of languages that can be used to recognize text. This section explains the languages included in each OCR Pack, how to uninstall the OCR Pack, and how to check it after installation.

Installing an OCR Pack
To install an OCR Pack, use the ScanSnap Online Update.
To use the ScanSnap Online Update, you need to have access to the Internet.
Log on as a user with Administrator privileges.
The latest ScanSnap Home is required to install an OCR Pack.
Display the Main Window of ScanSnap Home.
For details, refer to To Display the Main Window.
Select [Help] in the menu → [Online Update] → [Check for updates].
Follow the instructions to install an OCR Pack.

If the desired OCR Pack is not displayed in the ScanSnap Online Update window, perform the following and then start up the ScanSnap Online Update again.
Getting a connected status on the ScanSnap
Select the [Check for available software as well] checkbox in the ScanSnap Online Update settings
Checking the OCR Pack
Check whether the OCR Pack is installed successfully.
Display the main window of ScanSnap Home.
For details, refer to To Display the Main Window.
Select [Settings] in the menu → [Preferences] to display the preferences window.
In the [Language] tab, display the language list for [Documents], [Business Cards], or [Receipts].
Check that the language included in the OCR Pack that you installed is displayed in the language list.
