
Connecting an Additional ScanSnap Unit to a Computer
Connect an additional ScanSnap unit to a computer. The ScanSnap that is connected to a computer is registered with ScanSnap Home. Up to ten ScanSnap units can be registered. In the scan window, you can switch ScanSnap units that are registered in ScanSnap Home.
If you are using the ScanSnap for the first time, you first need to configure the initial settings for the ScanSnap, download, and install the software.

Connect the supplied USB cable to the USB connector on the ScanSnap and the USB port on a computer, and open the ADF paper chute (cover) to turn on the ScanSnap.

Connect the ScanSnap to a wireless access point.
Display the Scan Window of ScanSnap Home.
Open the list of ScanSnap units
at the top of the window and select [Add a ScanSnap]
.
Follow the instructions on the window that appears to connect the ScanSnap to the computer.
When the [ScanSnap Home - Connecting ScanSnap] window (Let's use it!) appears, check the contents and click the [Close] button.
The ScanSnap is registered with ScanSnap Home and you can perform a scan.

When you can connect a USB cable to a computer
Use ScanSnap Wireless Setup Tool to connect the ScanSnap and a computer via Wi-Fi

When you cannot connect a USB cable to a computer
Display the Scan Window of ScanSnap Home.
Select [Add a ScanSnap] from the list of ScanSnap units at the top of the window.
In the [ScanSnap Home - Connecting ScanSnap] window, select the ScanSnap model to be connected and then click the [Start setup] button.
When the [ScanSnap Home - Connecting ScanSnap] window (Connect the ScanSnap to your computer) is displayed, click [Setup without the USB cable].
When the [ScanSnap Wireless Network Setup] window appears, follow the instructions on the window to connect the ScanSnap and a computer via Wi-Fi.
When the [ScanSnap Home - Connecting ScanSnap] window (Let's use it!) appears, check the contents and click the [Close] button.
The ScanSnap is registered with ScanSnap Home and you can perform a scan.
