Specifying Actions of ScanSnap Home
Specify actions when the ScanSnap is turned on and when a document is scanned.
Windows
- Display the Scan Window of ScanSnap Home on the computer.

Select [Preferences] in the menu that appears when you click
at the top of the scan window to display the preferences window.
- In [Action while scanning] on the [General] tab, specify the actions that are performed when documents are scanned.
- [Show the scan window automatically when the ScanSnap is turned on] checkbox
Select this checkbox to automatically display the scan window when the ScanSnap is powered on.
- [Show the ScanSnap Home/File Explorer according to the profile setting] checkbox

If you select this checkbox, ScanSnap Home or File Explorer will start up depending on the settings for a profile that is used to scan a document.
TIPIf [Scan to Folder] is selected for [Send to] in the profile that is used to scan a document, regardless of the settings in the preferences window, the [Open the destination folder] checkbox is available in the [Scan to Folder] window that appears after scanning a document.
- [Show the progress window during a scan] checkbox

If you select this checkbox, the window for showing the progress of a scan (from the time the scanning of a document begins to the time the scanned images are saved) is displayed.
- [Notify the user that saving scanned data is complete] checkbox

Select this checkbox to be notified of the document type, folder name of the save destination, and the number of scanned sheets for the scanned documents after the scan is complete.
- [Save the RAW data] checkbox

Select this checkbox to create raw data prior to image processing when you scan a document and then save the raw data for two weeks.
The raw data is used for changing a document type for the image which document type was detected automatically. When you change a document type, the image is recreated based on the raw data according to the settings for the profile that was used to scan documents.
If [PC (Scan to file)] is selected for [Type] in [Managing options] in the settings for a profile that is used for scanning a document, the raw data is not created.
If one of the following is selected for [Type] in [Managing options] in the settings of the profile used for scanning a document, raw data will not be created.

- [Save the RAW data] checkbox

Select this checkbox to create raw data prior to image processing when you scan a document and then save the raw data for two weeks.
If [PC (Scan to file)] is selected for [Type] in [Managing options] in the settings for a profile that is used for scanning a document, the raw data is not created.
- Click the [OK] button to close the preferences window.
The actions when documents are scanned are set.
macOS
- Display the Scan Window of ScanSnap Home on the computer.

Select [Preferences] in the menu that appears when you click
at the top of the scan window to display the preferences window.
- Specify whether to start up ScanSnap Home automatically when you log in to your computer in [Auto startup] on the [General] tab.
- In [Action while scanning] on the [General] tab, specify the actions that are performed when documents are scanned.
- [Show the scan window automatically when the ScanSnap is turned on] checkbox

Select this checkbox to automatically display the scan window when the ScanSnap is powered on.
- [Show the ScanSnap Home icon on the menu bar] checkbox

Select this checkbox to display the ScanSnap Home Icon on the menu bar.
- [Show the ScanSnap Home/Finder according to the profile setting] checkbox

If you select this checkbox, ScanSnap Home or Finder will start up depending on the settings for a profile that is used to scan a document.
