Daily Care

After using the ScanSnap, clean the glass.

Dirty glass may cause vertical streaks on scanned images. Clean it on a daily basis.

When dust and paper dust has accumulated inside the ScanSnap, gently wipe the inside of the ScanSnap thoroughly in addition to the glass.

Note that a notification (Notification) appears on the touch panel of the ScanSnap when dirt on the glass is detected. If the notification appears, make sure that you clean the glass.

  • Do not use aerosol spray or spray that contains alcohol. Paper dust and other dust blown up by strong air from the spray may enter the inside of the scanner which may cause scanner failure or malfunction.

Also note that sparks generated by static electricity may cause a fire.

ATTENTION
  • Do not use water or mild detergent to clean the inside of the ScanSnap.

  • It may take a long time for Cleaner F1 to dry if an excessive amount is used. Moisten the cloth with moderate quantity.

Wipe off the cleaner completely to leave no residue on the cleaned parts.

  1. Remove any documents from the ADF paper chute (cover) of the ScanSnap.
  2. Watch the following video to remove the Receipt Guide if it is attached.
