Exporting Content Data Records

Export a folder with content data records created from documents that you scanned with the ScanSnap.

The folders that can be exported are the [ScanSnap Home] folder or those in the [ScanSnap Home] folder.

By exporting content data records, you can transfer the [ScanSnap Home] folder to another computer or back up the [ScanSnap Home] folder.

HINT
  • You cannot import content data records to a computer with a different operating system to that of the computer on which the content data records were exported.

  1. Display the Main Window of ScanSnap Home.

    For details, refer to To Display the Main Window.

  2. Select [File] in the menu → [Import/Export] to display the [Import/Export] window.
  3. Select [Export content data records], and click the [Next] button.
  4. In the [Export content data records] window, select a folder that you want to export and click the [Next] button.
  5. The disk space required to export the folder is automatically calculated.

    You can skip this process by clicking the [Skip] button.

  6. When a window used for specifying the save destination for a file which you want to export appears, click the [Browse] button and select a folder for the save destination.
  7. Click the [Export] button.

Content data records will be exported to a folder that you specified as a file (*.sswa).

  1. Display the Main Window of ScanSnap Home.

    Click the [ScanSnap Home] icon ScanSnap Home Icon in the application list that appears when you click Launchpad in the Dock.

  2. Select [File] on the menu bar → [Import/Export] to display the [Import/Export] window.
  3. Select [Export content data records], and click the [Next] button.
  4. In the [Export content data records] window, select a folder that you want to export and click the [Next] button.
  5. The disk space required to export the folder is automatically calculated.

    You can skip this process by clicking the [Skip] button.

  6. When a window used for specifying the save destination for a file which you want to export appears, click the [Browse] button and select a folder for the save destination.
  7. Click the [Export] button.

Content data records will be exported to a folder that you specified as a file (*.ssma).
