Checking the Information of the ScanSnap

Check the information of the ScanSnap that is being connected to a computer. You can check such information as the scanner name (model), connection type when a USB cable is connected to a computer, and the total page count of the documents that are scanned with the ScanSnap.

  1. Display the Main Window of ScanSnap Home.

    For details, refer to To Display the Main Window.

  2. Select [Settings] in the menu → [Preferences] to display the preferences window.
  3. Select the ScanSnap that is currently connected to the computer from the list of ScanSnap units in [Scanner information] that is located in the [Scanner] tab.
    HINT
    • The [Scanner] tab can be displayed from the ScanSnap Home menu which appears when you right-click the ScanSnap Home icon in the notification area of the taskbar.

      For details about ScanSnap Home menus, refer to Icon (Indicator for ScanSnap Connection Status) and Menus.

  4. Click the [Details] button to display the [Details] window.
  5. Check the scanner information.
  6. Click the [OK] button to close the [Details] window.
  7. Click the [OK] button to close the preferences window.
  1. Display the Main Window of ScanSnap Home.

    Click the [ScanSnap Home] icon ScanSnap Home Icon in the application list that appears when you click Launchpad in the Dock.

  2. Select [ScanSnap Home] on the menu bar → [Preferences] to display the preferences window.
  3. Select the ScanSnap that is currently connected to the computer from the list of ScanSnap units in [Scanner information] that is located in the [Scanner] tab.
    HINT
    • The [Scanner] tab can be displayed from the ScanSnap Home menu which appears when you click the ScanSnap Home icon in the menu bar.

  4. Click the [Details] button to display the [Details] window.
  5. Check the scanner information.
  6. Click the [OK] button to close the [Details] window.
  7. Click Close at the top of the window to close the preferences window.
