All the Pages Are Recognized as Blank
When you perform a scan with the ScanSnap, if all the pages are recognized as blank, check the following:
Did you scan documents with the setting to delete blank pages automatically?
When the setting is to delete blank pages automatically, the pages which are almost blank may be detected as blank pages and deleted.
If the pages that you scanned are not blank or if you want to save scanned images of pages that are blank, modify the scan settings in the following procedure:

Click the [Scan] button at the top of the main window of ScanSnap Home to display the scan window.
If the main window is not already displayed, refer to To Display the Main Window.
Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.
Click to display the [Edit profiles] window.
Click the [Detailed settings] button in [Scan settings] to display the [Detailed settings] window.
Clear the [Blank page removal] checkbox in the [Scan] tab.

Click the [Scan] button at the top of the main window of ScanSnap Home to display the scan window.
If the main window is not already displayed, click the [ScanSnap Home] icon in the application list that appears when you click Launchpad in the Dock.
Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.
Click to display the [Edit profiles] window.
Click the [Detailed settings] button in [Scan settings] to display the [Detailed settings] window.
Clear the [Blank page removal] checkbox in the [Scan] tab.

When the [Reduce bleed-through] checkbox is selected in the scan settings, more documents may be detected as blank pages.
Clear the [Reduce bleed-through] checkbox in the following procedure:

If the main window is not already displayed, refer to To Display the Main Window.
Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.
Click to display the [Edit profiles] window.
Click the [Detailed settings] button in [Scan settings] to display the [Detailed settings] window.
Click the [Option] button in the [Scan] tab to display the [Scanning options] window.
Clear the [Reduce bleed-through] checkbox.

Is the document inserted into the feeding section of the ScanSnap, with the scanning side facing down?
Insert the document straight into the feeding section of the ScanSnap with the scanning side facing up.
