The Brightness of a Black & White Image Is Too Light or Too Dark

When you perform a scan with the ScanSnap, if the brightness of a black & white image is too faded or too dark, check the following:

Is the slider for [Brightness (B & W only)] set to the maximum value for [Light] or [Dark]?

Check the scan setting in the following procedure:

  1. Click the [Scan] button at the top of the main window of ScanSnap Home to display the scan window.

    If the main window is not already displayed, refer to To Display the Main Window.

  2. Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.

  3. Click Edit profiles to display the [Edit profiles] window.

  4. Click the [Detailed settings] button in [Scan settings] to display the [Detailed settings] window.

  5. Click the [Option] button in the [Scan] tab to display the [Scanning options] window.

  6. Adjust the slider for [Brightness (B & W only)].

  1. Click the [Scan] button at the top of the main window of ScanSnap Home to display the scan window.

    If the main window is not already displayed, click the [ScanSnap Home] icon ScanSnap Home Icon in the application list that appears when you click Launchpad in the Dock.

  2. Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.

  3. Click Edit profiles to display the [Edit profiles] window.

  4. Click the [Detailed settings] button in [Scan settings] to display the [Detailed settings] window.

  5. Click the [Option] button in the [Scan] tab to display the [Scanning options] window.

  6. Adjust the slider for [Brightness (B & W only)].
