Horizontal Streaks Appear in the Scanned Image
When you perform a scan with the ScanSnap, if horizontal streaks that are not in the document appear in the scanned image, check the following:
Did you move the ScanSnap or the table where the ScanSnap is placed during scanning?
If the ScanSnap is moved during scanning, horizontal streaks may appear in the scanned image.
Do not move the ScanSnap and the table where the ScanSnap is placed during scanning.
Did you apply the setting to reduce fluorescent lamp flicker?
Horizontal streaks may appear in the scanned image due to lighting.
Change the setting to reduce fluorescent lamp flicker in the following procedure:

Click the [Scan] button at the top of the main window of ScanSnap Home to display the scan window.
If the main window is not already displayed, refer to To Display the Main Window.
Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.
Click
to display the [Edit profiles] window.
Click the [Option] button in the [Feed] tab to display the [Feed option] window.
Select the [Reduce fluorescent lamp flicker] checkbox.

Click the [Scan] button at the top of the main window of ScanSnap Home to display the scan window.
If the main window is not already displayed, click the [ScanSnap Home] icon
in the application list that appears when you click Launchpad in the Dock.
Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.
Click
to display the [Edit profiles] window.
Click the [Option] button in the [Feed] tab to display the [Feed option] window.
Select the [Reduce fluorescent lamp flicker] checkbox.
The scanning speed may become slower than usual. In addition, for continuous scanning, it may take longer to wait until the next scanning starts.
