A Message Is Displayed, Indicating That There May Be Remaining Vertical Streaks, Even Though No Vertical Streaks Are on the Scanned Images

If a message is displayed, indicating that there may be remaining vertical streaks, when no vertical streaks remain on images of documents that you scanned with the ScanSnap, check the following:

Documents that have a tendency to be detected incorrectly may be scanned

Scanned images may be detected as images with remaining vertical streaks when you scan the following types of documents:

  • Documents with edges that are dark in color

  • Non-standard documents such as photographs or clippings from newspaper

  • Documents with diagrams or tables that include vertical lines on the edges of the documents.

  • Documents with gradations

Once you check images of documents that you scanned with the ScanSnap and make sure that there are no vertical streaks on the scanned images, use the scanned images as they are.

Are the rollers or glass inside the ScanSnap dirty?

Clean the inside of the ScanSnap.
