Multifeed Detected
When a multifeed occurs, one of the following error codes is displayed on the LCD of the scanner's operator panel.

Press the [Eject] button on the operator panel to eject the document from the paper path. Or open the ADF, and then remove the document.
If multifeeds frequently occur, check the following points and take necessary actions.
Are the multifeed detection conditions satisfied when the Multifeed Detection function is enabled? |
No

Configure the settings so that the Multifeed Detection Conditions are satisfied. |
Yes |
Did you fan the document before loading it into the scanner? |
No

Fan the document referring to How to Fan Documents. |
Yes |
Has the document just been printed with a copier or laser printer? |
Yes

Fan the document three to four times to remove static electricity. |
No |
Does the document bundle satisfy the following requirements?
- Total height of 50 mm or less (up to 500 sheets of 80 g/m² documents)
- Total weight of 5 kg or less

Reduce the number of document sheets. |
Yes |
Have you adjusted the paper separation force on the operator panel? |
No

Set the paper separation force to a higher level. |
Yes |
Contact your FUJITSU scanner dealer or an authorized FUJITSU scanner service provider. |
