Scanned Images Cannot Be Saved Directly from the ScanSnap to a Network Folder
If scanned images cannot be saved directly from the ScanSnap to a network folder, check the following:
Are you using NAS or a network storage that is only compatible with SMB 1.0/CIFS?
When using NAS or a network storage that is only compatible with SMB 1.0/CIFS, enable SMB 1.0/CIFS on the ScanSnap.
However, it is recommended that SMB 1.0/CIFS is disabled due to a serious security vulnerability. Use SMB 1.0/CIFS at your own risk.
For details about the procedure for enabling this setting on the ScanSnap, refer to the following:
Press
in the home screen on the touch panel of the ScanSnap to display the [Settings] screen.
Press
to display the [Wi-Fi settings] screen.
Press [Scan to Network Folder] to display the [Scan to Network Folder] screen.
Press [SMB 1.0/CIFS], then enable the setting on the displayed screen.
Is daylight saving time in use?
When you save scanned images directly from the ScanSnap to a network folder in a region where daylight saving time is in use, manually connect to the NTP server used to obtain the current time and synchronize the time on the server with the time managed in the ScanSnap.
Refer to Synchronizing Time by Manually Connecting to the NTP Server and configure the settings of the NTP server to be connected.
Is the connection to the network folder of the save destination blocked by a firewall? (Windows)
Allow a connection with the port number used for saving scanned images directly from the ScanSnap to a network folder in the Windows Firewall settings.
Port number for saving scanned images directly from the ScanSnap to a network folder: 445
For details, refer to To Allow Connection with Port Numbers in the Firewall Settings.
