Changing Content Information

Manually modify content information in a content data record that is to be managed with ScanSnap Home.

Content information is the information which is displayed in the content data record view in the main window.

The items which are managed in ScanSnap Home as content information are as follows:

  • Document type

  • Title

  • Scanned date/time

  • Date modified

  • Searchable PDF (*1)

  • Pages

  • Save destination

Document information

You can select multiple content data records with the same document type, and modify the content information items for all the selected content data records at once.

Appears when you have previously connected the ScanSnap iX1600 Receipt Edition to your computer.

  1. Display the Main Window of ScanSnap Home.

    For details, refer to To Display the Main Window.

  2. In the content data record list view, select a content data record that you want to modify the content information of.
  3. Click Right Arrow for a content information title in the content data record view.

    If the content data record view is not displayed, click Show/Hide Content Data Record View on the toolbar.

    The displayed content information titles differ depending on the document type of the selected content data record.

  4. Click the input field of the item to be edited to make the content information editable.
  5. Change the content information.
  6. Press the [Enter] key on the keyboard.

The content information in the content data record is modified.

HINT
  • If you change content information to modify the results of the text recognition, when the same results of the text recognition are detected in the following content data records, content information is automatically corrected.

    • A content data record created from a document that you scanned in the past two weeks and also managed in ScanSnap Home

    • A content data record that is to be created from a new document that you scan

  • The content information items which are displayed in gray are not editable.

  1. Display the Main Window of ScanSnap Home.

    Click the [ScanSnap Home] icon ScanSnap Home Icon in the application list that appears when you click Launchpad in the Dock.

  2. In the content data record list view, select a content data record that you want to modify the content information of.
  3. Click Right Arrow for a content information title in the content data record view.

    If the content data record view is not displayed, click Show/Hide Content Data Record View on the toolbar.

    The displayed content information titles differ depending on the document type of the selected content data record.

  4. Click the input field of the item to be edited to make the content information editable.
  5. Change the content information.
  6. Press the [Return] key on the keyboard.

The content information in the content data record is modified.

HINT
  • If you change content information to modify the results of the text recognition, when the same results of the text recognition are detected in the following content data records, content information is automatically corrected.

    • A content data record created from a document that you scanned in the past two weeks and also managed in ScanSnap Home
