Migrating the Scan Settings for ScanSnap Manager as a Profile

When migrating ScanSnap Manager to ScanSnap Home, the scan settings that are used for ScanSnap Manger can be added as a profile that is used for ScanSnap Home.

For details about the conditions for the scan settings that can be migrated and converted to a profile in ScanSnap Home, refer to Scan Settings That Can Be Migrated to ScanSnap Home.

  • The models for which the scan settings can be migrated are as follows:

    • ScanSnap iX1600

    • ScanSnap iX1600 Receipt Edition

    • ScanSnap iX1500

    • ScanSnap iX1400

    • ScanSnap iX1300

    • ScanSnap iX500

    • ScanSnap iX100

    • ScanSnap S1300i

    • ScanSnap S1100i

    • ScanSnap S1100

  • ScanSnap SV600 is the only model for which the scan settings can be migrated.

  • When the scan settings are migrated and converted to a profile in ScanSnap Home, the values for the migrated settings that are not compatible in a profile for ScanSnap Home are set to the default values for ScanSnap Home.

  1. Click the [Scan] button at the top of the Main Window of ScanSnap Home to display the Scan Window.

    If the main window is not already displayed, refer to To Display the Main Window.

  2. Click Edit Profiles to display the [Edit profiles] Window.
  3. Select [Help] → [Data conversion] → [ScanSnap Manager] in the menu to display the [Data conversion for existing software] window.
  4. In [Data conversion for existing software], select the checkbox for the scan settings that you want to migrate.
    • In [Data conversion for existing software], the scan settings that can be migrated to ScanSnap Home are displayed.

      For details about the conditions for the scan settings that can be migrated as a profile to ScanSnap Home, refer to Scan Settings That Can Be Migrated to ScanSnap Home.

    • For [The scanner that uses the scan settings to be converted], the ScanSnap which is selected in [Select a scanner] in the scan window is displayed.

      When multiple ScanSnap units are registered in ScanSnap Home, you can switch to the ScanSnap unit that you want to migrate the scan settings to.

  5. Click the [Start] button.

When the migration of the selected scan settings is complete, a "The conversion of the scan settings is complete." message and the name of the scanner that uses the migrated scan settings is displayed.

  1. Click the [Scan] button at the top of the Main Window of ScanSnap Home to display the Scan Window.

    If the main window is not already displayed, click the [ScanSnap Home] icon ScanSnap Home Icon in the application list that appears when you click Launchpad in the Dock.

  2. Click Edit Profiles to display the [Edit profiles] Window.
  3. Select [Profile] → [Data conversion] → [ScanSnap Manager] in the menu to display the [Data conversion for existing software] window (Convert the scan settings).
  4. In [Data conversion for existing software], select the checkbox for the scan settings that you want to migrate.
    • In [Data conversion for existing software], the scan settings that can be migrated to ScanSnap Home are displayed.

      For details about the conditions for the scan settings that can be migrated as a profile to ScanSnap Home, refer to Scan Settings That Can Be Migrated to ScanSnap Home.

    • For [The scanner that uses the scan settings to be converted], the ScanSnap which is selected in [Select a scanner] in the scan window is displayed.

      When multiple ScanSnap units are registered in ScanSnap Home, you can switch to the ScanSnap unit that you want to migrate the scan settings to.

  5. Click the [Start] button.

When the migration of the selected scan settings is complete, a "The conversion of the scan settings is complete." message and the name of the scanner that uses the migrated scan settings is displayed.
