Modifying the Settings for a Profile (When Using ScanSnap Cloud)

Modify the settings for a profile that you use when scanning a document with the ScanSnap.

The type of a document to be scanned, the scan settings such as the color mode, and the save destination for scanned images are specified in a profile.

In this section, modify the settings for a profile which uses ScanSnap Cloud to save a scanned image in a cloud service.

HINT
  • The settings for a profile to be linked with a cloud service using ScanSnap Cloud can be modified or copied on the computer signed in to the ScanSnap Cloud service using the same ScanSnap account.

    The settings for a profile to be linked with a cloud service using ScanSnap Cloud can be modified on the computer signed in to the ScanSnap Cloud service using the same ScanSnap account.

  • A profile which uses ScanSnap Cloud to save a scanned image in a cloud service may not be displayed in the profile list on the touch panel depending on the setting that has been selected for the method for displaying profiles.

    For details, refer to Changing Users in order to Display the User's Own Profiles.

  1. Click the [Scan] button at the top of the Main Window (When Using ScanSnap Cloud) of ScanSnap Home to display the Scan Window.

    If the main window is not already displayed, refer to To Display the Main Window.

  2. Click Edit Profiles to display the [Edit profiles] Window (When Using ScanSnap Cloud).
  3. Select a profile for which you modify the settings from the profile list.
    HINT
    • When creating a new profile based on an existing profile, copy the original profile first, and then modify the settings. The profile that can be copied is a profile in which the [Documents] tab, the [Business Cards] tab, the [Receipts] tab, or the [Photos] tab is displayed in [Scan settings].

      To copy a profile, select the original profile, and click [Edit] → [Copy] in the menu.

  4. Modify the scan settings.

    To modify the details of the scan settings, click the following.

    • [Option] button for [File format]

      The [PDF file option] Window (When Using ScanSnap Cloud) appears.

    • [Detailed settings] button

      Displays the [Detailed settings] Window (When Using ScanSnap Cloud).

    • [Option] button for [Feed]

      [Option] button for [ADF] or [Manual Feeder] in [Feed mode setting]

      Displays the [Feed option] Window (When Using ScanSnap Cloud).

  5. Specify a cloud service in which a scanned image is to be saved.
    • When the [Documents] tab, the [Business Cards] tab, the [Receipts] tab, and the [Photos] tab, or the [Do not detect] tab is displayed in [Scan settings]

      In the list that is displayed when you click the [Select] button for [Cloud Service] in [Scan settings], select a cloud service to specify it as a save destination.

    • When one of the tabs (the [Documents] tab, the [Business Cards] tab, the [Receipts] tab, or the [Photos] tab) is displayed in [Scan settings]

      In the list that is displayed when you click the [Select] button for [Cloud Service] in [Managing options], select a cloud service to specify it as a save destination.

    In the list that is displayed when you click the [Select] button for [Cloud Service] in [Scan settings], select a cloud service to specify it as a save destination.

    HINT
    • When you switch an account for a cloud service which has already been configured, select the same cloud service in the list that is displayed when you click the [Select] button. When the authentication window is displayed, enter the information of an account that you want to switch to, and log in to the cloud service.

      If the authentication window is not displayed, perform the following operation, and then select the cloud service again.

      • Restart ScanSnap Home

      • Clear the history in your browser

      • Exit the web browser

      • If your web browser is Google Chrome, select an option other than [Continue where you left off] for [On startup].

        To check or change the setting for [On startup], select [Settings] from the menu that appears when you click the icon for Google Chrome settings.

  6. When you finish modifying the settings for a profile, click the [Save] button.

The modified settings for the profile are saved.

  1. Click the [Scan] button at the top of the Main Window (When Using ScanSnap Cloud) of ScanSnap Home to display the Scan Window.

    If the main window is not already displayed, click the [ScanSnap Home] icon ScanSnap Home Icon in the application list that appears when you click Launchpad in the Dock.

  2. Click Edit Profiles to display the [Edit profiles] Window (When Using ScanSnap Cloud).
  3. Select a profile for which you modify the settings from the profile list.
    HINT
    • When creating a new profile based on an existing profile, copy the original profile first, and then modify the settings. The profile that can be copied is a profile in which the [Documents] tab, the [Business Cards] tab, the [Receipts] tab, or the [Photos] tab is displayed in [Scan settings].

      To copy a profile, select the original profile, and click [Edit] → [Copy] in the menu.

  4. Modify the scan settings.

    To modify the details of the scan settings, click the following.

    • [Option] button for [File format]

      The [PDF file option] Window (When Using ScanSnap Cloud) appears.

    • [Detailed settings] button

      Displays the [Detailed settings] Window (When Using ScanSnap Cloud).

    • [Option] button for [Feed]

      [Option] button for [ADF] or [Manual Feeder] in [Feed mode setting]

      Displays the [Feed option] Window (When Using ScanSnap Cloud).

  5. Specify a cloud service in which a scanned image is to be saved.
    • When the [Documents] tab, the [Business Cards] tab, the [Receipts] tab, and the [Photos] tab, or the [Do not detect] tab is displayed in [Scan settings]

      In the list that is displayed when you click the [Select] button for [Cloud Service] in [Scan settings], select a cloud service to specify it as a save destination.

    • When one of the tabs (the [Documents] tab, the [Business Cards] tab, the [Receipts] tab, or the [Photos] tab) is displayed in [Scan settings]

      In the list that is displayed when you click the [Select] button for [Cloud Service] in [Managing options], select a cloud service to specify it as a save destination.

    In the list that is displayed when you click the [Select] button for [Cloud Service] in [Scan settings], select a cloud service to specify it as a save destination.

  6. When you finish modifying the settings for a profile, click the [Save] button.

The modified settings for the profile are saved.
